Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Licensure: Active Alaska RN License
• Experience: Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience required
• Additional Notes:

  • Scrubs provided
  • Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
  • Must include home address and SSN in submissions

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
