Job Opportunity: Travel Pharmacist

Location

City: Scranton, Pennsylvania
Facility: Regional Hospital of Scranton
Hospital System: Community Health Systems

Employment Details

Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts:
- Evenings: 1 PM - 9:30 PM, 2 PM - 10:30 PM, and 3:30 PM - 12 AM
- Every 3rd weekend required

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years required
Licensure: Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
Specialized Experience:
- NICU TPN compounding
- OB (Obstetrics)
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Responsibilities

Ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages.
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications.
Participate in Medication Safety initiatives.
Manage patient profiles and report adverse drug reactions.
Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
Maintain narcotic accountability.

Scope of Role: Adult acute care, NICU, OB
EMR System: Cerner
Scrub Colors: Royal blue, pink, grey, black

Note: 48-hour weekly guarantees and blocked scheduling are not approved.
