Job Description

The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated areas of the hospital. Responsibilities include:

Collaboration with Physicians on drugs and dosing
Education of nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications
Medication Safety initiatives
Management of patient profiles
Avoidance and reporting of adverse drug reactions
Mixing of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
Narcotic accountability

Shift Details

Shift Hours: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
On Call: No
Options:
- 48-hour guarantee
- Blocked scheduling

Requirements

Certifications: ACLS & BLS
License: Arizona Pharmacist License
Experience: Pharmacist skills and hospital experience

Additional Information

Experienced support staff available at the hospital and region
No Labor & Delivery (L&D) or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital
Average Census: 40
