Job Description
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated areas of the hospital. Responsibilities include:
- Collaboration with Physicians on drugs and dosing
- Education of nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications
- Medication Safety initiatives
- Management of patient profiles
- Avoidance and reporting of adverse drug reactions
- Mixing of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
- Narcotic accountability
Shift Details
- Shift Hours: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- On Call: No
- Options:
- 48-hour guarantee
- Blocked scheduling
Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS & BLS
- License: Arizona Pharmacist License
- Experience: Pharmacist skills and hospital experience
Additional Information
- Experienced support staff available at the hospital and region
- No Labor & Delivery (L&D) or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital
- Average Census: 40
