Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Safely and effectively managing a 6:1:1 specialized classroom.
• Engage students in activities that are interesting, meaningful, and individualized to reflect each student's developmental level.
• Develop IEPs in accordance with current New York State Education and facility practice, procedures, and policies.

Requirements include:

• Must have a specialization in technology.
• Must have experience in k-12 focusing on older students.
• NY State Certification in Early Childhood Education (B-2) and must be working toward or be willing to pursue appropriate Special Education certification in appropriate grade levels.
• Ability to physically restrain if required.
