Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers curriculum utilizing Target Teaching methodologies.
• Prepares in advance for each class with written lesson plans that adhere to Target Teaching.
• Maintains a three-day supply of emergency lesson plans that follow the clinical teaching format and define student learning objectives and evaluation procedures for the purpose of ensuring instructional continuity
• Provides consistent interactive supervision of student athletes to ensure the safety, health and welfare of staff and students at all times; ensures proper safe physical management techniques are followed at all times; and assists other staff members with emergency situations.

Requirements include:

• Possesses a current and valid State teaching credential if required. 
• Related experience working with at-risk youth.
• Three or more years of successful classroom teaching.
• A working knowledge of the Positive Operational Culture.
