Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS & BLS (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Skills:

  • Vent/trach experience.
  • Knowledge of central lines.
  • Preferred wound care experience.
• Licensure: Must have an Illinois or multi-state compact RN license.
