Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU

Location: Rosenberg Building
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (12/23/2024 – 03/22/2025)
Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), including every other weekend.

• Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN License (required at the time of submission).
• Vaccination: COVID booster and flu vaccine mandatory; only medical exemptions accepted.
• Certifications: CPR (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant neuro ICU/IMCU experience.
  • Proficiency with:
    • External Ventricular Drains (EVDs).
    • Lumbar drains.
    • Arterial lines.
  • Experience in handling neuro cases such as post-op day-zero surgeries, acute thrombectomies, administration of TPA, and managing vasoactive infusions.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Epic EMR and ability to navigate basic web-based applications.

• Provide patient care in a neuro ICU/IMCU setting, managing a variety of neurological and neurosurgical patients.
• Float between neuro ICU and neuro IMCU as required.
• Patient Population:
  • 18 intermediate beds and 18 general neuroscience beds.
  • Patients include arterial line monitoring, lumbar drains, EVDs, acute thrombectomies, and day-zero neuro post-op cases.
• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:3.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
