Job Description: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location - Boston,MA

Position Details:

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts, 02215
• Start Date: 12/16/2024
• End Date: 03/15/2025 (13-week contract)
• Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12-hour rotating shifts (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)
• Call Requirements: One short call (2-hour block) per week after a worked shift and one weekend of call per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the operating room, specializing in orthopedic and total joint procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Utilize provider order entry EMR systems effectively for documentation and coordination of care.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and nursing best practices.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid and active Massachusetts RN license (required at the time of submission).
• Certifications:
  • CPR - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant operating room nursing experience.
  • Orthopedic and total joint experience required.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with provider order entry EMR systems (specific to BIDMC preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching hospital environment.
• Expertise in specialty surgical areas beyond orthopedics, including gynecology, urology, oncology, and more.
