• We are a blended Emergency/Inpatient unit that has 7 beds dedicated to emergency patients and 7 beds dedicated to inpatients. We do not accept ambulance transfers at this time but do have walk-ins and transfers from our main ED on the Newark Campus.
• We see a wide range of patient conditions here on our emergency side and have a close relationship with Nemours Children's Hospital, should we need to transfer anyone that requires a higher level of care. Our inpatient side sees observation and lower acuity inpatients. This includes asthmatics, bronchiolitis, high flow nasal cannula support, hyperbilirubinemia, dehydration, constipation, and febrile neonates to name a few.
• We also have 3 rooms on our inpatient side that are dedicated to patients in a behavioral health crisis while we work to find placement for them.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire
• Two years of Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric, pediatric emergency, emergency department or critical care experience preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
• BLS Certification required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
