Endoscopy RN Contract

Location: Worcester, MA

Join our team in Worcester, a vibrant city known for its rich history and cultural diversity. Shift

Our client is building a qualified care team available daily from 7 AM to 9 PM, including weekends. Shifts may vary based on candidate availability, with the schedule determined by the Clinical Director. Flexible hours are offered.

Contract Duration

Anticipated contract duration is 3-9 months, starting as a 13-week contract. Start date is ASAP (ideally Monday 11/11). Candidates will need to be background screened and credentialed before they can start.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) skilled in the placement and management of nasogastric (NG) tubes to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing patient care related to NG tube insertion, verification, and ongoing management, including administering feedings and medications. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to educate patients and families on NG tube care.

Responsibilities

Safely and accurately perform NG (nasogastric) tube placement, ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor and assess patients for any complications related to NG tubes, including repositioning or replacing tubes as needed.
Educate patients and caregivers on NG tube maintenance and provide support for transitioning to home care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

Active RN license.
Proven experience with NG tube placement and management in a clinical setting.
Strong assessment skills and ability to respond to complications effectively.
Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
