As a Cath Lab Tech, you will play a vital role in the operation of the catheterization lab, utilizing specialized equipment and digital processing tools to assist in various cardiac procedures. Your responsibilities will include performing duties such as scrub assistant and X-ray equipment operation, while ensuring a clean and organized work environment. You will also monitor patient vital signs and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment and digital processing tools.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing necessary equipment, catheters, and medications, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Position the cath lab table and adjust angles as needed for optimal imaging.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic data throughout procedures.
• Use fluoroscopy machines and other imaging devices to capture clear images of the heart and blood vessels.
• Educate patients about catheterization procedures, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Contribute to departmental operations by stocking supplies and maintaining an orderly work area.
• Adhere to OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• Bachelor's of Science Degree preferred.

• 1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred.

• Current Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license required.
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or LSRT license in the state of employment required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
