Job Summary
A leading healthcare provider in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic team. As an RRT, you will provide critical respiratory care in a Level I Trauma Center, working with a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to adults. This role offers the opportunity to work in an advanced medical setting, utilizing cutting-edge technology and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and airway care.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, adjusting treatments as needed in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
Manage ventilator support for critically ill patients in the ICU, Emergency Department, and Trauma Units.
Provide emergency respiratory care, including intubation assistance and rapid response team participation.
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care.
Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing.
Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital safety standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in respiratory care practices and technology.
Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain licensure.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
