The Memorial Hospital component of Gonzales Healthcare Systems is an inpatient hospital facility.  Offering 33 beds, our inpatient area is designed to care for patients suffering from an illness or recovering from surgery.  Staffed with registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses, our patients are cared for around the clock until their physician deems they are well enough to be discharged.  For patients needing a higher level of attention and care, a special care unit is available.

Gonzales Healthcare Systems is made up of a number of entities, but at the core is Memorial Hospital, a general acute-care facility. The current facility, built in 1978, follows a tradition of community service begun by the Holmes Hospital, which opened in 1921.

Whether entering the system through our Emergency Room, with its Trauma Level IV designation, or as a direct admit from a primary care physician’s office, the patient coming to Memorial Hospital can access state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services.
