Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

EMR - EPIC

N:P ratio -- 1:4-7 with mix of Cardiac & Med Surg patients

Traveler will be required to float to all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Hospital & Methodist West Hospital within pertinent skillset/Unit they are contracted for.

Night shift target Nurse to patient ratios are 4-6 patients depending on acuity. There is a mix of cardiac and medical/surgical patients. Unit does not take Nitro or Cardine drips on the floor those go to CICU requiring titrating for pressure or pain. Our acuity is lower than a true progressive care unit. If we do have a step down patient from CICU nursing assignments would be adjusted for the acuity of that patient.

12 lead EKGs are done by RT at ILH on night shift

There is a cardiac and internal medicine NP in house on night shift to address any changes in patient condition

We have a Rapid Response Team to address patient change in status as well

Submission Requirements
2+ years current experience in Tele or Cardiac w/ Med Surg experience - Required
Strong experience in cardiac/tele care
1+ year of travel experience, OR, 5+ years of FTE at a Hospital/Medical Center
