We are in need of an MRI Technologist –for a reputable hospital in Brooklyn-- 4x10 SCHEDULE AVAILABLE!
We've partnered with a well-known breast center located in Brooklyn, NY and they are seeking an MRI Technologist!
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule Options:
* 4x10: Tuesday through Thursday 10am-8pm and Friday 8am-6pm
* 5x8: Monday through Thursday 12pm-8pm and Friday 8am-6pm
Type: at least 3 months or longer. (**very likely to be extended)
Responsibilities:
* Caseload – around 10 patients a day. Exams are an hour long – 2 biopsies happen a day between 10:30 to 1pm
* 85% doing breast exams; 1 or 2 non-breast cases a day
* Perform guided breast biopsies
* Performs MRI examinations requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, MR protocols and equipment so that selection and modification of technical factors may produce optimum results.
* Assumes accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety.
* Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
* Communicate with attending Radiologist and verifies provider orders.
* Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
* Maintains MRI room cleanliness after exams and procedures. Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
* Prepares and assists in the administration of contrast materials.
Requirements:
* Graduated from an accredited radiology program with current MRI certification
* NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist
* Some Mammo experience preferred
* 1+ years of experience as an MRI Tech preferred
* Experience with breast biopsy and breast MRI
* ARRT is required
* BLS certification
