Description: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

*Biweekly Starts* *if traveler is interested in 26 week contract, please indicate in submittal and let AM know so we may request approval from NM*
RN/ MS - Trauma
Start date: 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier
Ratios: 1:4-5
Years of experience REQ: 2
Weekend REQ: every other
Certs REQ: BCLS

RTO Restrictions: please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract- If a shift is missed, please work to make up as soon as possible if able
Can have no more than 3 tardies and 2 call ins in a 13 week contract or can result in a cancelation. Will reset for every 13 week contract.
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Required Skills: Med/Surg, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Insulin, PCA, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Level 1 Trauma Experience
Patient Diagnoses: come from ED, OR or ICU
Services on unit:
geriatric trauma: 55 yo + with trauma
Trauma: Abuse/violence victims, MVA, MVC, Falls
Acute Care Surgery: appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, TBI

o Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot- $63 (price and availability may vary)
o Clayton Taylor Garage- $73 (price and availability may vary) • For orientation: park in the Laclede Garage (4929 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis Mo. 63108) for which there is a $15.00 charge. Pull a parking ticket and take with you. Barnes does not validate or reimburse for the charge. Wear scrubs. • If you are working a straight night shift: If you are working straight night shift, there is no charge for parking, and you may park in the employee parking (you will receive parking information during orientation). • If you will be working a day/night rotation: you will have to obtain a parking pass for which there is a $70.00 fee per month. The garage that you will be parking in will be Clayton/Taylor Ave location. Bring your license plate number with you on your first day.
