Social Worker MSW: Walton HS – Alternate Work Schedule*

As a School-Based Social Worker, you will provide essential mental health support and resource access to students, families, and staff, ensuring a nurturing and supportive school environment. By focusing on mental health, social determinants of health, and crisis intervention, you’ll play a pivotal role in each student’s journey to thrive academically and emotionally. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans, therapeutic interventions, and community connections that elevate student health and resilience.

Responsibilities and Requirements: 
•    Provide compassionate social work services to students and families, addressing diverse needs related to health, finances, and community support.
•    Develop and implement safe, timely treatment and discharge plans in partnership with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
•    Employ evidence-based assessment tools and treatment approaches, using the latest clinical insights to inform interventions and support.
•    Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including primary care providers, psychiatrists, nurses, and more, to enhance overall quality of life.
•    Assist with social determinants of health and refer students and families to appropriate resources to ensure a safe and supportive home and community environment.
•    Spanish language skills required to effectively serve our diverse student population.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00a – 3:30P
Location: Walton HS
*Alternate Work Schedule – This is a 10-month role following the school calendar.
 
Education:
•    Master of Social Work
•    LMSW – Licensed Master Social Worker

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
