Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the care of assigned patients during their shift, functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Making judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
• Assisting in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
• Demonstrating flexibility with work schedule changes.

Submission Requirements

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of OB experience (Required)
  • Must have completed 1 travel assignment (Required)
  • Must be able to function as a 1st assist and Scrub OB (Required)

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA) (Required)
  • ACLS (AHA) or ALSO Certification (Required)
  • NRP (Required)
  • STABLE Certification (Required)
  • Fetal Monitoring Certification (Required)
  • BLS Certification can pend; all others must be active at the time of submission.

• Profile Requirements:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty

Certification Requirements

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• Fetal Monitoring (FHM)
• NRP
• STABLE

State License Requirements

• Must have an active Ohio state license.

Additional Information

• Nonbillable Hours: 8 hours
• All travelers will be expected to float to units within their scope of practice and skill set. Refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the entire work week.
