Job Description

A small cath lab in the Seattle area is seeking a Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week contract starting as soon as possible. The position involves circulating skills and experience with some interventional radiology (IR).

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • Certified Cardiac Interventional Rad Tech - ARRT (CI)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI
  • RAD Tech License in Washington
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an interventional cath lab
• Skills:

  • Must be able to scrub and monitor
  • Ability to float to pre and post care for cath lab, GI, and IR patients

Job Duties

• For RN's:

  • Circulating, documenting, monitoring, and working in pre and post care
• For Techs:

  • Scrubbing and monitoring during procedures

Unit Information

• Cath Lab: 1 cath lab, 1 IR lab, with admit and recovery areas
• Average Cases per Day: 5-6, primarily diagnostic and interventional caths
• EMR/Equipment: EPIC, GE MacLab

Scheduling

• Shifts: 4 - 10 hour shifts from 0700 to 1730
• Call Requirements:

  • Weeknight: 1730 - 0700 for weekdays and one weekend a month
  • Weekend: Friday night to Monday morning
  • Call response time: 30 minutes

Additional Information

• Orientation: 3 days on unit with a preceptor; Epic classes twice a month
• Team Environment: Flexibility is essential due to a small staff pool and the need for teamwork.
