Job Description
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patient responses to health conditions within the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU). This unit cares for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The CVU also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and conducts electrophysiology studies.
The unit has received a Silver level Beacon Award and was recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S. The team is committed to optimal outcomes and exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Experience: 1+ year of experience required
- Proficiency: Cardiac experience required
- Travel: Required
- EKG Comfortability: Required
- Floating: Must be willing to float to similar units
- Licensure: Michigan RN license verification required (provide LARA and Nursys)
- Skills Checklist: Must be completed within one year of application for RN specialties

- Attendance Policy: A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in place, effective 6/1/2024. Absences or lateness may lead to immediate termination.
