Job Overview: Cardiac Invasive Tech (Cath Lab Tech)
Location
- City: Monterey, California
- Facility: Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- On Call: 5-7 days a month, usually 1 weekend (tentative)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - American Heart Association Provider certification (must be obtained prior to completion of orientation)
- CA Fluoroscopy license
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- Verification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
Additional Information
- Facility Policy: Nicotine-free facility, included in drug screen
- Education Requirement: Must pass the Arrhythmia Interpretation/Telemetry test at 85% prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment of telemetry/monitored patients (tested annually thereafter).
Job Duties
- Perform procedures in the Cath Lab, including PCI, pacemaker insertions, STEMI interventions, and TAVR/Watchman procedures.
- Experience with common diagnoses and types of patients is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty; structural experience preferred but not required.
Equipment and EMR
- Preferred EMR: Epic (for nurses and techs)
- Equipment: McKesson, Philips, Siemens
Unit/Department Orientation
- Orientation provided Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
