Job Description

As a Physical Therapist, you will perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments under minimal direction, following the guidance of a physician.

Essential Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders and evaluate patients to formulate treatment plans aimed at achieving long and short-term goals.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses.
• Participate in discharge planning and instruct patients on home programs.
• Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records.
• Supervise and assist students during their clinical rotations, depending on clinical experience.
• Maintain and clean equipment used by the department.

Experience

• None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures used in physical therapy.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient for patient evaluation and treatment.
• Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills to guide patients in taking responsibility for their treatment.
• Proficient in computer use.
