Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Overview

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift from 1900 to 0730, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Required Credentials

1. BLS (Basic Life Support)

   • Required for clinical positions.
   • Certification from the American Heart Association only.

2. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

   • Certification from the American Heart Association only.

3. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

   • Certification from the American Heart Association only.

4. License/Certificate Verification

   • Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration. Temporary licenses are not accepted.

5. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

   • Positive titers only from within the last 15 years. Specific booster requirements apply.

6. Fit Test

   • Completed within 1 year of start, must be done off-site.

7. Hepatitis B

   • Proof of vaccination series or signed declination required.

8. Varicella (Chickenpox)

   • Positive titers only from within the last 15 years. Specific booster requirements apply.

9. Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)

   • Proof of vaccination within the past 10 years required.

10. NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

    • Certification required.

11. UHS I-9 Attestation

    • Completed I-9 or attestation that completed I-9 is on file.

12. UHS Ohio Fingerprints

    • Background check requirements based on residency duration in Ohio.

13. UHS Education Verification

    • Highest level of education verified.

14. UHS Employment Verification

    • Verification of employment within the last 5 years required.

15. UHS Competency Exam

    • Must score at least 80%, completed within 1 year prior to start.

16. Physical/Health Statement

    • Pre-employment exam statement signed, stating the traveler is able to work without restrictions.

17. Influenza Vaccine

    • Proof of vaccination required during flu season or approved exemption.

18. 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)

    • Negative reads required within the last 6 months.

19. UHS Submission Packet

    • Resume, job application, and 2 professional references required.

20. UHS Badge Photo

    • Headshot required.

21. UHS Criminal Background Check Results

    • Background check to be completed within 6 months of start.

22. UHS OIG Search

    • To be completed within 6 months prior to start.

23. UHS Drug Screen

    • 10-panel drug screen required within 60 days of start.

24. UHS Module Completion Certificate

    • Safety and Compliance Training modules to be completed prior to clearance.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccination preferred but not required.
• Annual Negative PPD: If not completed within the past year, it is optional.
• Driver's License/State ID: Non-expired photo ID required.
