Location

• City: Tacoma, Washington

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Department Information

• Department: Radiology - U/S
• Number of Scanners/Rooms: 4 (2 outpatient, 2 inpatient)
• Common Imaging/Studies Performed: Head and neck, whole body; some procedures (no MSK or vascular)

Certification Requirements

• Required Certifications: BLS, RDMS
• Helpful Certifications: AB and OB certification

Job Duties

• Perform head and neck scans and body scanning
• Average number of scans/studies per day: 30-40 per 10-hour shift (between 4 techs)

Equipment

• EMR/PACS Systems Used: EPIC and McKesson PACS
• Department Specific Equipment: GE and Phillips

Scheduling and Shifts

• Shift Options:

  • Variable Hours (Days, Swings, Graves), no call (schedule provided in advance)
  • Fri-Sun, 7a-7p (possible variable hours on Friday), no call
• Shift Lengths: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts based on need
• Self-Scheduling: Not allowed; set schedule with available overtime
• Call Requirements:

  • Weeknight call: 5:30p-7a Mon-Fri
  • Weekend call: 7a-7p
  • Some call, but not much; call schedule is pre-set
  • Call response time: 30 minutes (usually given a couple of hours heads up)

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Light blue scrubs provided or can wear your own
• Department Orientation: Generally 1-2 weeks depending on experience
• Floating/covering other areas: No
