Job Description

Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, located at 929 N. St. Francis, Wichita, KS 67214.

Required Credentials and Health History

  1. MMR Vaccination: Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer. No declinations accepted.
  2. Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred to be completed prior to start.
  3. Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  4. Influenza Vaccine: Required for flu season (October 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025). Exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  5. PPD/IGRA: 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required.
  6. Varicella: Documented proof of vaccination or immunity.
  7. Tdap: Must not be expired.
  8. Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment.
  9. Driver's License/State ID: Must match address on file.
  10. Ascension Profile: Resume or profile required.
  11. Professional References: At least two professional references required.
  12. Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days of first assignment.
  13. EPLS Check: Must be run within 90 days of start.
  14. Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start.
  15. Drug Screen: 12 panel drug screen required.
  16. Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with a white or blue background.
  17. Education Verification: Verification of education relevant to clinical work.
  18. Confirmation of Assignment: Must be provided upon initial assignment and updated upon each extension.
  19. BLS Certification: Must be AHA certified.
  20. ACLS Certification: Must be AHA certified.
  21. License/Certificate Verification: Current license verification required.
  22. Specialty Exam: Must be completed prior to first assignment.
  23. Color Vision: Must be completed prior to start.
  24. Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics training required.
  25. NIH Certification: Group A updated yearly, Group B-F updated every 2 years.
  26. EKG Exam: Must complete with a passing score.
  27. Onboarding Requirements: Completion of pre-hire modules and other onboarding requirements.

Additional Information

  • Exemptions/Declinations: Accepted for the influenza vaccine, but candidates will be required to wear a mask at all times.
  • Surveys: At the completion of the assignment, a survey will be sent to the contract worker to be completed within 72 hours.

If you get cancelled for low census, your food and housing stipend will not be paid for that shift and will be deducted from your paycheck, so if you work somewhere with low census you may want to look into an agency that doesn't do this.
