Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct care to patients using the nursing process, which includes ongoing assessment and intervention to treat presenting symptoms. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient and is responsible for meeting the needs of all types of patients.
Responsibilities
- 40%: Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care.
- 30%: Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, education, and assistance with transfers.
- 20%: Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update/revise plans as necessary.
- 10%: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years required, with Neuro PCU experience preferred.
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- Preferred: Recent traveler experience.

- Patient Ratio: 1:4/5 (Target) to 1:6
- Work History: Candidates must provide a skills checklist current to 1 year, and two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years.
- Local Candidates: Consideration for candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
