Employment Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Details:

  • 8-hour shifts with varying start and end times
  • Call based on department needs (average of 1 or 2 weekdays from 1700-0700 and one weekend per month from 1700 Friday through 0700 Monday)
  • Holidays covered by call as needed
  • May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Credentials

1. Ascension Specialty Exam

   • Must be completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years
   • Minimum 80% passing score required
   • Only 2 attempts allowed

2. BLS (Basic Life Support)

   • Must be AHA certified

3. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

   • Must be AHA certified

4. Nursys Verification

   • Must be completed within 30 days prior to start

5. License/Certificate Verification

   • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

6. Ascension Color Vision

   • Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years

7. Ascension Core Competencies

   • Completed within a year of start and updated yearly with a minimum 80% score

8. Ascension EKG Exam

   • Must complete with a passing score of at least 80% with only two attempts permitted

9. Health Statement

   • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually thereafter

10. Fit Test

    • Required for all travelers, preferred to be completed prior to start

11. Vaccination Requirements

    • MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer
    • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or declination
    • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
    • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines or serological evidence of immunity
    • Tdap: Valid for 10 years from the administered date

12. Drug Screen

    • 12 panel drug screen required within 30 days prior to start

13. Background Checks

    • Criminal background check results and employment verification required

14. Education Verification

    • Verification of education relevant to clinical work must be completed within 90 days of start

15. Professional References

    • At least two professional references required prior to first assignment

Additional Information

• Onboarding Requirements: Various onboarding requirements must be completed prior to the start of the assignment, including training and competency assessments.
• Exit Survey: At the completion of the assignment, a survey must be completed within 72 hours.
