Job Opportunity: Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Technologist

Position Summary

The CT Scan Technologist assists radiologists and other physicians in obtaining high-quality radiographic images for patient diagnosis and treatment while minimizing radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• CT Studies (35%): Perform computed tomography studies following established protocols, differentiating between normal and abnormal anatomy.
• Contrast Administration (30%): Administer IV and oral contrast as required, monitor patient conditions, and record patient data.
• Radiation Protection (20%): Ensure radiation safety for patients and self using appropriate shielding and documentation.
• Nursing Duties (15%): Assist in sterile procedures, obtain vital signs and clinical history, perform venous puncture, and respond to urgent medical conditions.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant role.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Epic
  • Experience with Toshiba or Canon equipment
• Additional Info:

  • Candidates must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
