Job details

Registered Nurse (RN) position in a Cardiac/Neuro Unit at Berkshire Medical Center.
Must have Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License for staffing.
Candidates must provide specific interview availability; generic availability will not be accepted.
Experience in Cardiac/Neuro nursing is required.

Job requirements

4+ years of current Med-Surg/Cardiac/Neuro experience required.
Willingness to float to any Med-Surg unit is required.
Basic Dysrhythmia course completion is strongly preferred.
Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred.
Profile must include work history, skills checklist, and a supervisory signed reference.

Schedule information

No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted during the assignment.
RTO requests must be noted and verified at upload; late requests will not be approved.
Block scheduling is not approved for this need.

Unit specific information

Unit size: 20 to 34 beds, patient ratio typically 1:6.
Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.

Additional Details

Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
