PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
State License 1 Verification

Job details

1 year minimum experience required.
Unit accepts first time travelers.
Must be comfortable and experienced with Pediatrics as ER sees all ages.
Epic experience required.
Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics.
Patient to nurse ratio is 1:3.

Job requirements

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
Highly preferred certifications: PALS / Pediatric experience.
GA License or Compact required.

Schedule information

Request time off (RTO) maximum of 7 days; blocked scheduling is not guaranteed.
Weekends: Average every other.
Holidays: Expected to work major holidays.

Unit specific information

Floating within skillset; to sister facility.

Additional Details

Compliance required to start on time; if non-compliant, a 2-week push back due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
