A hospital in California is looking for an experienced OT for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.

Job requirements

Hold an active BLS
Hold a CA License

Schedule information

PT - 8 hr shifts, start times vary.
OT - 8am or 9am start time (8 hr shifts).
Common diagnosis/Types of patients: OT - a little of everything for inpatient.

Unit specific information

Common diagnosis/Types of patients include neuro and peds.
Candidates should have basic acute care experience, including total joints.

Additional Details

BLS, COVID Vaccine Required.
Weekend Requirement: normally 3 weekend shifts per quarter.
Outpatient setting business casual - collared shirt and nice pants.
Inpatient - have to wear dignity health polos, they will be able to provide them if needed.
Shifts: start later on Fridays, outpatient clinic hours are 6am-7pm.
Inpatient is primarily medsurg, tele, and ICU with minimal ER and Peds.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
