Job details

A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Cath Lab nurse for a travel contract.

Job requirements

2 full years of experience
Active CA License

Schedule information

RNs- variable 10 hr shift starting at 6-630a depending on cases
12-14 (including weekends) call days of weekday call required per 4 week schedule.
Required call every other weekend.
Call required- depending on the needs.

Unit specific information

Unit: Cath Lab, EP and IR - RN
# suites/labs: 3 suites Cath/EP, 1 suite for Complex IR
#cases per day on average: 8-10 cases per day

Additional Details

Self scheduling is allowed, however, we only honor the requested time off in their contracts.
Candidates should be flexible and willing to stay past their 10 hour shifts if they are needed, for longer cases.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
