Job requirements
- 8 hour variable day shifts with call
- Start times between 07-10 depending on case schedule
- 2 Required M-F Call Shifts per Week
- 2 Required Weekend Days per month
Schedule information
- ACLS, BLS;**1/13 Start Date ONLY**
- Cerner Experience Required
- Will Float to Short Stay
- Must Have Experience Working Both Outpatient and Inpatient GI, along with Pre-Op and Phase 2 Recovery
- Unit: Endoscopy/GI lab
- Procedure rooms: 3 bays
- # procedures per day: 15-30
- Certs: RN - BLS, ACLS, procedural sedation comp test
- GI tech - BLS. GI certification preferred
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Supervisor
- Weekend Requirement: Call only
- Holidays: Call only
- Call: M-F 1500-0700 and Sat/Sun 0700-0700
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Call after hours
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Floating: No
- Floor specific orientation: A week or until comfortable
- Common cases/procedures: ERCP, EGD, PEGs, all scopes. May go to OR for a GI procedure. Some bronchs with RT support

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
