Job details

Tele Float position at St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington
Travelers will be required to float to cover the need of the entire med surg division.
All units are telemetry.

Job requirements

At least 2 years acute care experience
Required certifications: BLS

Schedule information

12 hour shifts, full time, every other weekend
Weekend Requirement: Every other
Holiday Requirement: Yes, 1-2 winter holidays
Call or standby requirement: Yes, up to 4 times during contract duration
Expect to float wherever they are needed

Unit specific information

Will orient 4 hours each on 7th, 8BC, 9th, 2 south, 3 south and 4 south.
Can be assigned as a CNA if RN short.
Can be assigned as an entrance screener if needed.

COVID Vaccine Required; COVID VACCINE REQUIRED!
Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
