Job details

Provides respiratory care services to patients who require emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Monitors and maintains equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Job requirements

2 years of Respiratory Experience - Required
Must have Critical Care experience - Required
Experienced with Adolescent through Geriatric Population - Required

Travel Experience - Preferred
Further McLaren Specifics: Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours on bill rates over $40/hr
OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular rates
Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial extension.
McLaren's local traveler policy is to take a 10% reduction from the traveler rate. Anyone within a 35-mile radius is considered a local traveler.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
