Job details

Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.

Job requirements

2+ years of experience.
Med/Surg Observation experience.

Patient Ratio: 1:4/5 (Target) to 1:7
Unit: 4N

Additional Details

Travelers for this position need to be comfortable floating between 2 MyMichigan hospitals in Midland and in Saginaw. The main assigned site may require floating to the other hospital for critical staffing support. The intention is that they will not float at all.
Recent traveler experience - highly preferred.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
