- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced PT for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 3+ years of experience and at least 2 years of Acute Care or/and Inpatient Rehab.

- The right candidate will have 3+ years of experience, at least 2 years of Acute Care or/and Inpatient Rehab, hold an active BLS and CA license.
Job requirements
- 8 hr shifts, hours are varied, start at 6:30am people staying until 6:30pm with a 30 min lunch break, schedule made by staffing captain
- Every other Sat or Sun, 2 weekend days in a 4 week schedule, would love someone who could do all weekends, will have day off during week on the weeks they work a weekend shift
Schedule information
- Unit: Rehab Therapies, Cardiac Rehab
- # beds: IP & OP - travelers will work IP for OT, PT, and Speech
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Manager available 7 days a week, works M-F mostly with alternating weekends
- Nurse Aides: IP has one rehab aide
- Floating: Float between units of hospital and to acute rehab
- Floor specific orientation: 1 day hospital orientation and then 2-3 days of unit orientation
- Common diagnosis/Types of patients: spinal cord injuries, TBI, stroke, cardiac rehab, ortho, etc.
Unit specific information
- COVID Vaccine Required (Certification)
- **Holiday RTO will be considered, however not guaranteed**
- Spanish speaking candidates preferred
- Experience in OP or home health preferred
- Experience with physical disabilities preferred
- Pediatric experience is not required for travelers

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
