Certification details
- A hospital in Eastern Texas is in need of ER RN's to work a 13 week travel assignment.
Job details
- Must have 2 or more years of experience.
- Need to have worked in a facility with similar patient volume, trauma level, and size.
- RN must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass.
Job requirements
- Hybrid schedule- some self-scheduling and block scheduling ensuring needs are met.
- Scheduler will work with traveler to get schedule ironed out
- Weekend Requirements every other
- Holiday Requirements rotate in with core staff- 1 major
- 1pm start time, EOW, First to Float
Schedule information
- ER/ED unit details.
- Ratios vary depending on acuity.
- Typical ER patients including Pediatric cases.
- Own EMS agency, have their own helicopter.
- Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Sedation-propofol, fentanyl, levophed common drips.
- PulseCheck or Picis EMR.
Unit specific information
- Travelers may be placed in triage after they have been on assignment for a while, their skills will be assessed before placing here.
- ED RNs will care for mixed holding Area.
- 3 shifts in the ER orientation.
- Charge will respond to codes and rapid responses on floors
- Patient Care Techs duties includes EKGs, wound care, help transport patients, ADLs, help set up all trauma cases.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
