    Job details
  • FLOAT RN- WILL BE REQUIRED TO FLOAT TO the medical care unit, post surgical unit and Intermediate Care Unit. Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, applies the nursing process to the care of patients. Teaches patients and significant others. Documents patient care in the medical record. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient. Flexible, able to prioritize and adapt to rapidly-changing patient and unit needs. Demonstrates effective teaching skills. Responds effectively to patient crisis/emergency situations. Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location. Flexibility in accepting assignment to varied areas; friendly, helpful attitude.
    Job requirements
  • Recent hospital experience - REQUIRED
  • 2 years of Med Surg experience - REQUIRED
  • Facility is NOT interested in Travelers with RTO
    Schedule information
  • Flexible schedule to adapt to unit needs.
    Unit specific information
  • Willingness to float within the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU
  • Resume and skills checklist (within 1 year)

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
