Job details

Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a position at Glens Falls Hospital & Locations.
New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required for consideration.
COVID vaccinations not required, however strongly encouraged.

Job requirements

Minimum 2+ years of Behavioral Heath Unit experience.
Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients.
Recent travel experience.
De-Escalation Training of any kind, CPI or NAPPI/Welle Certifications- REQUIRED.
EPIC experience required.
Clinician MUST be reliable with no attendance concerns.

Schedule information

Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload.
No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
Must be able to cover either Christmas or New Years holidays.

Unit specific information

Average daily census: 20 patients.
RN to patient ratio: 1:9 (depending on census).
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric.
Average stay length: 5-7 days.
EMR: EPIC.

Additional Details

Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.
14 panel drug screen required within 24hrs of offer acceptance.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
