Nursys verification for nurses.
Ascension Color Vision test must be completed.
NIH Certification, Ascension EKG Exam, Nova StatStrip required.

Job details

RN Critical Care position available in Waco, Texas with Ascension Health.
Facility: TXWAC Asc Providence-20001.
Duties include handling ACLS, NIH, level IV trauma (no burns or transplants), CABG, AVR, NxStage, CVA, PE, GIB, ARDS, DKA, Impella, IABP, hypothermia protocol.

Job requirements

ACLS Certification (AHA required).
NIH Certification required.
Current nursing license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
Ascension specific credentials such as Ascension Core Competencies, Ascension EKG Exam, Ascension Nova StatStrip.
Other health-related requirements like MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Questionnaire.

Additional Details

Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs.
Ascension unit leader must upload some documents within a week of onboarding.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
