Job details

Position/Specialty: Multimodality Tech (X-Ray & CT) - Hybrid Role (Dual Location)
Performs CT scan and radiographic exams
Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as directed, according to established practices and procedures
Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns
Years of experience REQ: One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography
First-timers accepted: Yes
Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Job requirements

National Certs REQ: ARRT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), CPR, BLS
Must have satisfactorily completed an AMA approved school of radiological technology
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
Licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association
Certification of CPR required
Radiation Badge REQ: Yes, provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide to travelers
BLS REQ: Yes

Schedule information

Shift: Will work Friday-Sunday 2 Days/1 Night, Friday: 7a-7:30p at main campus in Orangeburg. Saturday: 7a-7:30p, and Sunday: 7p-7:30a at BBEMC
Is on-call REQ: Yes, on call rotation among staff at BBEMC only
If shifts are not filled when traveler is on call, then weekend work may be required

Local Radius: 60 miles
Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate
RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
