Job details

Position/Specialty: Multimodality Tech (X-Ray & CT)
Performs CT scan and radiographic exams.
Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as directed, according to established practices and procedures.
Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.

Job requirements

Years of experience REQ: One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography
First-timers accepted: Yes
Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers
BLS REQ: Yes
National Certs REQ: ARRT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), CPR, BLS
Must have satisfactorily completed an AMA approved school of radiological technology and be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Schedule information

Shift: Will work Thurs-Sat, 3x12s, 7p-7:30a, with on call rotation among staff
Is on-call REQ? Yes, on call rotation among staff.
If shifts are not filled when traveler is on call, then weekend work may be required.
Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
