Job requirements

- Must be AHA BLS certified
- Must be AHA ACLS certified
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals
- Nursys quick confirm verifications should be completed for all APRN, RNs, and LPN/LVNs
- Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA
- Completed Ascension Color Vision prior to start and updated every 3 years
- Complete Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics)
- NIH Certification required
- Ascension EKG Exam must be passed with score 90% or higher, with only 2 attempts
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be uploaded by the Agency
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite
- Ascension Nova StatStrip instruction to be followed
- MMR Vaccines or Positive IGG Titer needed; exemptions are not accepted in certain areas
- Fit Test required annually for all disciplines
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or declination to vaccine
- Influenza Vaccine required annually; declinations and exemptions not accepted
- Positive PPD- negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire if applicable
- Health Statement or statement of good health completed prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Driver's License/State ID must match the home state for the compact license if applicable
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required
- Varicella proof of immunity required; either through vaccines, serological evidence, or health provider verification
- Tdap vaccine valid for 10 years from administered date
- Resume or Profile submission
- At least two professional references needed prior to first assignment
- Criminal Background Check Results required as per Ascension guidelines
- Ascension EPLS and OFAC checks must be completed
- Ascension Skills Checklist required annually in specialty
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen required as per guidelines
- Ascension Badge Photo must have a white or blue background
- Ascension Education Verification to validate education at the source level
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment must be uploaded
- Ascension Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination policy to be followed
- Ascension Exit Survey to be completed at end of assignment

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
