Job requirements

Must be AHA BLS and ACLS certified
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals
Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs
Completed Ascension Color Vision prior to start and updated every 3 years
HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics training required
Ascension EKG Exam with a score of 90% or higher with only 2 attempts
Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be uploaded by the Agency
Done onsite Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding
Ascension Nova StatStrip training mandatory
MMR vaccine or Positive IGG Titer required
Annual Fit Test mandatory
Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or declination
Annual Influenza Vaccine required, declinations not accepted
Health Statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
Driver's License/State ID matching primary residency for compact license RNs required for submission
2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within specific time frames
Proof of Varicella immunity or vaccination required
Tdap vaccine valid for 10 years required
Profile or Resume required for submission
Two professional references needed prior to first assignment
Ascension Criminal Background Check Results within specific timeframes
Ascension Skills Checklist annually in specialty required
Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start required
Ascension Badge Photo with white or blue background

Additional Details

Education verification needed in accordance with applicable governing laws
COA (Certificate of Assignment) standard format accepted
Flu season information: October 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
