  • 1 Year of full time experience minimum
    Schedule information
  • Shifts & Scheduling: 6-1430 or 1400-2230 Monday through Friday with call
  • Weeknight/Call Requirement: Gen OR 4-5 nights / CVOR 5-10 weeknights per 6 weeks, CVOR call up to 50% of the time
  • Weekend/Call Requirement: Gen OR 5- 12 hour shifts/CV 2 weekends per 6 wk, Up to 50% of the time
  • Holiday/Call Requirement: 2-3 12 hour shifts per year
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
    Additional Details
  • Unit SURGERY (Main/West Campus)
  • # suites: 6 plus hybrid room
  • # of cases per day: 20-30
  • Common Cases: Total joints, general surg, spine, uro, CV for Open Heart team - skillset to work OR and CVOR required
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 Year of full time experience minimum
  • Floating Requirements: May be floated to other departments to assist with delivering food trays, sitting with patients, etc. It is very rare for a traveler to float. Will not be floated to other procedural areas such as Pre op/ PACU
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 3-5 shifts depending on case load/ exposure
  • 6-1430, CVOR Scrub and Circulate procedures. Float to general side when not assigned in CVOR procedures. High volume of call (up to 50%) with 30 minute response time. When on call staff are General OR back up for life of limb emergencies

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
