  • Hospital in Seattle area looking for a (OT) Occupational Therapist for an outpatient hospital setting.

    Job requirements
  • General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS, WA license
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CVA, total joint, hip fx, Cardiac, geriatric
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: ICU, acute care experience
    Schedule information
  • Shifts & Scheduling: 8 Hour Days Monday-Friday- 32 hours guaranteed up to 40hrs/wk
  • Scheduling provided for clinician, but some flexibility
  • Weekend Requirements: occasional
  • Holiday Requirements: possible but not required
    Unit specific information
  • Department: OT
  • # of patients treated per day: 8-10
  • Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient?: Acute inpatient
  • Rehab Aides: No COTA, rehab aide yes
    Additional Details
  • BLS; **Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in.**
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: scrubs any color
  • Department specific orientation: yes- Orientation days are not specified, depends on the clinician's comfort level

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
