Job details

Specialty: Registered Nurse
48 hours or 36 hour weeks
May float to like units due to census/volume
All travelers are required to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day) based on facility policy
Traveler cannot request time off during the period of December 26–31
Start: 3 weeks from signed contract date
Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 nights
Experience: 1+ year

Job requirements

Must have 1 year EPIC Experience
Active SC license or multistate license required
AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification required
Experience in intermediate Neuro patients preferred

Schedule information

Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Locals accepted: YES if over 100 miles or 50 miles for Night shift
Pending License accepted: No
RTO Restrictions: ALL RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility's needs

Additional Details

Medication and arrhythmia exam required
Calling out on a holiday may result in immediate termination
Travelers expected to not request time off during December 26–31

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
