- State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- ACLS as required for ICU
Certification details
- Travelers are required to work two out of three major holidays.
- Must have at least 1 year of ICU + IICU stepdown exp and large teaching hospital size exp.
- Must have experience with trauma related injuries such as head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and surgical care that are common on our unit
- Stepdown patient ratio of at least 1:3.
- Average Daily Census – 20 (21 beds total)
- Staffing Ratios 7 RNs, 3:1 maximum
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Locals accepted: YES if over 100 miles or 50 miles for Night shift
- Pending License accepted: No
- RTO Restrictions: ALL RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility's needs.
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Job details
- Stepdown Patient ratio of at least 1:3
- Required:1 year of ICU + IICU stepdown experience with a minimum acuity of 3:1 and ventilator experience
- Experience in a large teaching hospital size is essential
- Prior experience with trauma-related injuries necessary
- Epic system proficiency is mandatory
- CRITICAL CARE EXP required
Job requirements
- Need to work two out of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day).
- Calling out on a holiday may result in immediate termination.
- No time off during December 26-31 to ensure staffing needs are met during the holiday season.
Schedule information
- Must have previous ICU/IICU stepdown experience.
- Experience with high acuity stepdown patients is required.
- Prior experience with ventilator management.
- Unit deals with trauma-related injuries.
Unit specific information
- All RTO must be included at time of submission and approved based on facility needs.
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period.
- Local candidates accepted if distance criteria are met.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
