Certification details

Certifications BLS, ACLS, and others must be AHA

Job requirements

Must be AHA BLS certified
Must be AHA ACLS certified
Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals
Nursys quick confirm verifications should be completed for all APRN, RN’s and LPN/LVNs
Nursys should be used to review ALL license activity in all states, not just the state of placement
Pharmacology 1,2 exam required
Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years - Ascension Color Vision
HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics competencies required
EKG Exam with a score of 90% or higher with only 2 attempts
Vaccines or Positive IGG Titer required
Annual Fit Test required
Hepatitis B vaccination or declination documentation required
Influenza Vaccine annually required starting Sept 4th, 2023
Health Statement or completed physical exam required
2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing required
Varicella immunity proof or vaccination required
Tdap valid for 10 years from the administered date required
Ascension Criminal Background Check Results required
Annual specialty required Skills Checklist for clinical roles
12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to the start of the first assignment, updated annually
Headshot for badge photo required
Education verification required

Additional Details

Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs
Ascension Unit Specific Checklist is optional for Onboarding
Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be uploaded by the Agency
Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite
Exemptions are NOT accepted for persons working in certain areas with respect to vaccines
Ascension Education Verification details specified

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
